Another nephew

Well it seems that my family will just keep growing without me. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But I am glad to hear that my brother Jed and his wife and their new boy, which I hope that they will figure out a name for sometime, are doing well, and that the pregnancy went well. I must say that I love all of my nephews and nieces and I miss them more than I would have thought. Knowing that there is another member of our ever growing family in this world only makes me more excited to come home and see all of you.

I should also mention that I met with the Head Golf Professional not to long ago today. We discussed a variety of topics in the time that we talked but I think the most important was the decisions about the working situation next year. It seems as though with the way the economy is, that there will be many decisions that will impact my Job Title next year. I have been told multiple scenarios that could happen, but until the budgets have been made for next year there is nothing in concrete yet. However, it was a encouraging discussion that we both had, and I believe that I will continue to succeed in the Golf Operations of Castle Pines.

I can't express how much I appreciate all of my family. All of you have done so much for me over the years that it has been overwhelming at times. I look forward to seeing all of you during the holidays, and I hope that we will be able to spend some quality time together. I miss you and love all of you. Take care of your family, and give all your little ones a hug and a kiss from uncle Jesse.

New Profession

Well the month of October has come to and end for me up here in Castle Rock. Surprisingly, I have only seen one day of snow and that was very little. The temperatures have been in the 70's for the most part but I have yet to enjoy them. I take that back. I have been able to enjoy them but them have been from up in the trees haha. Most of you know that my job had come to an end at Castle Pines Golf Club, and I am now working on the horticulture crew for the golf club.

I guess the easiest way to describe what I do right now would be to call me a lumberjack. I am getting quite good at as well. The details of my job are to pretty much climb trees and trim them, and then cut them down if needs be. I can honestly say that it is harder work than I thought it would be, but as we all know we have Dad to thank for putting us through the numerous amount of holes dug, lawns mowed, and countless other jobs that we have done for him.

Most of the guys have had to tell me to slow down while I am working. I guess you could say that I am used to deadlines and getting everything done during the day so I wouldn't have to do the same thing tomorrow. Once again, thanks Dad. I would say, that as soon as it starts to snow...which it doesn't seem like it will be doing for a little while, I will then become a professional snow plower as well. Ah, the many things I will be doing for the next couple of months.

I am working hard at trying to finish my PGA books as well. It is very time consuming and I now realize why so many people start but do not finish these books. However, if I am going to succeed in the area of golf that I want to, it is necessary to get this done.

In a couple of weeks, I will be returning home for the first time in about 6 months. I am really looking forward to coming back and seeing all of my family and friends for a couple of days. I really miss all of you and even though I have been able to keep in touch with some of you over the phone there is nothing better than actually being able to see people and talking to them. I am also looking forward to everyone being able to meet Dawn. We have been together for almost 5 months now, and we have had a real good time together. She is a great person and I really think that she is going to have a good time with everyone...as long as Matt doesn't do any of his Big Labowski impressions that is.

I hope that things are going well for everyone and that all you families are in good health. I look forward to seeing you and your wonderful families. I am jealous of all of you but I know in good time I will have the same things that you possess and we can all be happy together.

In the beginning

Well I guess since this is the best way to keep in touch with you guys these days...even though i have oodles of time because i am not chasing around little ones while trying to clean the boogers off the while, i guess i should start saying a little something to keep you interested in whats going on in my life. As all of you know I am in Colorado where I have seen some of the prettiest sites, and I haven't even really gotten out much, in my life. I can't say enough about how good I feel about being here. I know I have spoken to all of you briefly about some of the things that I am doing with my life. It seems as though the hard work that I am trying to put in is starting to pay off, and I could not be happier with the results.

One thing that I have found with my decision to stay here is that it has been a struggle to figure out how I am going to get everything from one place to another and at the same time I have learned a lot about how to manage things the best way I can. I very happy to be able to call all of you my family and the wonderful joy I get when I think about the many things we have all gone through. Enough can't be said about our family and the way we work together no matter what the situations may be. You have all been there for me at one point or another. Whether it has been physically or emotionally. I love you all, and I hope to see you all soon.
